Our organisation recently received more than 7,000 euros from the BMW Group Plant Landshut, which was raised as part of two events.

The first donation came as a surprise. After a concert of the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra held at the BMW Group Plant Landshut’s carbon production facilities on 21 October 2017, donation baskets were put out spontaneously and an outstanding amount of 4,021.35 euros were collected. An impressive musical experience with an amazing donation sum!

The second event took place on 12 November 2017 at the Landshut Rathausprunksaal hall, where the BMW Group Plant Landshut held its annual fundraising event with cabaret artist Michael Altinger and donated a total of 9,000 euros to three different organisations, including Ambatana. The symbolic donation cheques were handed over to the organisations by Willibald Löw (Chairman of the Works Council), Dr Peter Fallböhmer (Site Manager) and Alexander Putz (Mayer of the City of Landshut) at the sold-out hall.

Our organisation is connected to the BMW Group Plant Landshut in a special way through Johannes Haider, executive manager at the BMW Group, pioneer of carbon production and a major supporter of Ambatana e.V. since our foundation in 2014, who passed away in September 2017.
